Robusta coffee beans typically have a moisture content of 10-13% and contain 1.7-4% caffeineThey also have a higher fat content (7-17%) compared to Arabica beans, and a lower acidity and pH level.

  • Defects: Fine Robusta green coffee should have zero primary defects and no more than five secondary defects per sample.
  • Bean Size: To be considered a fine Robusta, the beans must be a certain size, typically retained by a specific screen size (e.g., screen 12).
